back to work and school

Ok, so its been a while.....

i am back to work and jake started 5th grade!!! WOW!!! Junior high next year.
i am tired, but hanging in there at work. I eat all day and it gets me through.

We are still working hard on the house on West st. I hope to be moved in by Oct. I HOPE!!!!! still a few rooms to work on and carpet needs ordered and delivered and put in. so we will see.

Jake and I had a great summer.
Baseball, guitar, kids on campus, college for kids, swimming, walks and all that fun stuff. We spent time in Dallas/Fort worth with uncle danny and my parents and then went and spent time in Oklahoma with the krishers. Then I spent time in St. Louis with Megan and Doug and then to end that trip with a girls weekend with Lesley, carol and emily and Me! Fun times.

August I went to chicago for a training and Ryan went with me and we got to find out the sex of our baby!!!
Then Jake and I went to Michigan to spend time with the Johnson's! fun times yet again.

Been a long time!!!

Sorry, I promise to post a new blog when I get up and running again in late August.

Just busy with Jake's many activities and me just being lazy in the summer.

Went to Texas to see Danny lee, Oklahoma City to see the Krishers, St. Louis to see Megan Davis Hotz and a girls weekend.

Been working on my new home, trying to sell my home and my boyfriends house.

Planning on moving in together..... OH and Having a BABY!!!!

Baseball 2009

Its baseball season and I love that a parent from the opposing team sent me pictures of Jakob.... Because you all know how i am at pictures. So here is Jakob. He is getting soooooo big. 10 years has gone by so fast and I am dreading the junior high and high school years because that means he is off to college shortly after.

I am done with school for the summer, so it is time to sell my house and get in the new one we just bought! I also need to clean, organize, get rid of and garage sale!!!! so I will keep myself busy!

That sums up why i haven't written a post in soooooooo long.... i feel like i am just running and not sure where I am running to or from.

Jake turned 10 March 31, 2009 and had a great birthday party.... chocolate fountain with all the dippings. Double digits.... time flies and I am sad to say he is a big boy and becoming a MAN!!!! UGGGGG

So April was a good month. East spent in Las Vegas with Jakob, Danny lee, Mom, Dad, Grandma, Aunt Becky and Uncle Rick. Nice family gathering. I went to the pool and lost money....... Jake went to pool with me and did more sight seeing then me. Went to Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon with grandparents. I been there and saw that all once..........

Baseball season is here again. Jake is on the Mets this year in the Minor League. So we are in full practice and game mode. I should charge him for gas and or get a cab Meter.........

May 1, 2, and 3rd was Oliver the musical. Jake played a orphan this year and was busy singing and dancing. Food Glorious Food!!!! he did a great job and always makes me proud.

I had a chance to spend time with Carol and Emerson and Ella for a whole week!!! that was GLORIOUS! they are getting so big and Beautiful. Lesley and Matt came home for a weekend so we all had a great time together. Love seeing my friends and Love that Emily is back home............

Now I am counting down the weeks until school is out.... 3 more weeks until the summer and Cabrera Country Club Pool will be open and I will be there daily!!!

So the next big news is MY BROTHER IS COMING HOME TODAY!!! if the weather holds up! cross your fingers.

Ok, so I have been gooooooood this month on blogging, just not pictures.... next month i will work on that. OK, so took a picture from Alison's blog to show you how lovely Grae is and who wouldn't want to hold her all night?

last week was busy busy busy! went out for a green beer on tuesday. Emily, Megam, Katie and Dan, Keisa and Adam v. for a min. Emily hung with me till bedtime....10pm. Then Wed. got to see a good friend Megan, which is always nice to catch up with friends. Thursday was a sub on Bunco at Keisa's who now lives a block away so jake and jason can play. yay for that........ had a blast with them, won the last bunco so 25 bucks was in my pocket and if you don't know me....... I yelled like i won the lottery!!!!!

Friday hung with the Reid's, Jordan, alison, baby Grae (who we love to hold-allllll night), emily, buck and my parents came and hung. it was a fun pizza and PJ night and even got the year book out to look at old photos....... OH- and it was a new friend of mines Birthday so got to hear all about his fun through out the night. He turned 34!!!!!!

Then Seth came and stayed over with Jake and they had their usual fun. Sat. was a day of shopping with jake and parents and bowling in the morning with jake!
This week is preparation time for a birthday party in the double digits!!!! man my little guy is off to college in 8 years...... tear tear!!!!!

Week 2 and some of 3!

I am trying to weekly update.... it is HARD work. So last week jake found out his part in the play for performing arts. he is an Orphan in Oliver. He was not as excited as the year before in Tom Sawyer so we had lots of conversation about giving 115% and we don't always get what we want.... ect..... It was a hard evening, but he woke up and was ready for his part and is now super excited to be apart of such a great cast and performance. I am always proud of him and he will do a great job.

The 6th of March a bunch of us went to bob and tom comedy tour at the orpheum. I love to laugh and spend time with my friends. we (alison, jordan, jenn, BJ, brenda, nate, kim, april, jim, keisa, dusty, kyle and I) had a blast. we laughed all night and then spent sometime before for dinner and afterwords for adult time. I love comedy especially in Galesburg!

That weekend emily and danielle were in Maui and my brother had to make sure to call before his Cruise set sail..... needless to say I was sad I was not at either place, but had fun regardless.

Jake and I spent time together on the 7th and 8th. Mostly relaxing and at Jason Reids with the kids playing and while Danielle was away....... I needed to make sure they were OK.

Last week was a hectic one, play practice, guitar, baseball board meeting, tennis, dinner with Amy, Ava and Ryan (the best part of our week), by Friday I was ready to just relax with Emily and MArgaret. I helped them friday with switching out dishes and then shopping, Thanks Margaret..... I am glad you are a big part of my life!
Come Saturday Alison, Halle, Grae and I were getting our nails done, ok Grae just slept and watched. Then lunch at the landmark, YUMMY!!!!

That was my lovely week in a nut shell.
So this week is full of play practice, school choir practice, tennis and ST. PATTY"S DAY, can't wait to celebrate that in a few hours.............
OH and the dentist for jake and i this wed. get to see DR. Renfroe. that is a added bonus to the dentist office.......

week one!

Ok, so instead of monthly post I am going to try weekly. Lets just say TRY!!!!
This week is a not so great one.... EMily and danielle are in Maui!!! i sooooooooo sooooooo soooooo wanted to go, but since I only have three more months of work until summer that is hard to say I need a week off to go to HAWAII!!!! So they got on an American Airlines flight and since my brother knows most, lets say they were hooked up!!! love danny lee........ love the benefits, but love him more... Now on to not liking him for a minute....

He is leaving for a cruise on Sat. So way to many people are vacationing and I am still in Galesburg!

Other news this week. My mom left Wells Fargo and she sounds great and it seems that it all went better then expected. She will be at F & M bank for all your mortgage needs. She is still the best wherever she goes......

Jake is busy with ISAT testing this week. Snacks packed that are healthy all week and keeping me on my toes. Setting his alarm to get up BEFORE ME!!!! to brush his teeth, get dressed, put on deodorant, comb his hair, spray some cologne on.... i said do you have a girlfriend and he said NO i just am a MAN!!!! whooooooooo slow down there! He will be ten in a few weeks, but not a MAN yet. I need a man before he becomes a man!!!!

work is the same, work. I love my job!

Last week, carol, emerson and ella were home. That was a great week! i got to spend lots of time with them and enjoyed every minute. COme home SOON!!!

So tomorrow I am going to bob and tom's comedy tour with Brenda, Nate, April, Jim, Jenn, BJ, ALison, Jordan, Jaci, Keisa, Dusty and Kim. It should be a great time. I love to laugh!!!!!

Jake sings at the hockey game in the quad cities sunday! He is singing with his school choir! He sure knows how to keep me on my toes and busy.

February 2009

So here is the last months break down........ READY!!! it is EXCITING!!!!
The first weekend I helped with registration for baseball, Cal Ripken baseball season is here and on its way........ That was Friday night. Then Jake and I went home and at 3:30am I hear a coughing sound....... PUKE all over Jake's bed and he was sitting up confused, ahhhhh my poor baby. So I woke up and cleaned him up and put him nicely in my bed..... Sat. was a busy day, registration, Hunter and Payton's 5th Birthday Carnival and probably dinner and a movie..... well, lets just say the chicken and noodle soup at 11:00am didn't stay down and he was off to laying around all day and not feeling so well. Poor baby Jake. So Sunday we rested and left the house for a bit, since Jake was getting antsy and the weather was so nice on Sat. and he had to stay in bed.

The next weekend was a fun filled weekend. I had pre-school screening's at school so I worked late Thursday and so Friday I was off early. It was nice since I wanted to be at Jake's Valentine's party for a bit and then off to the airport to go to Dallas, Texas! I went to see my brother and be there for Scott lewis's Birthday dinner and celebration. It was a great evening. I have never had Sushi and It was awesome, really nice restaurant and then to a great bar. Then Danny showed me real Dallas FUN! Saturday we came home to have dinner with the family at mom's and then met Susie and her boyfriend Kye at Fat Fish. Then Emily and MC came to meet us too. SO it was a WHOLE lot of excitement and FUN!!!!! Sunday Jake and I went to the chocolate fest in Galesburg with mom and dad and Danny lee. It was yummy! then I went to Alison and Jordan's to hold Grae for a long time, she is precious! Then it was off to meet Susie and Kye for one last evening of Sunday Funday before they left town. Danny got lucky and had Jake at my house for come Wii game time..... He was thrilled!

Monday, Jake went to Pizza House to make a Pizza in a Taste Of Galesburg class ran by the city. He really enjoys cooking and it was neat for him to be back in the back area making pizza!
Jake and I had to say our sad good-bye's to danny who was heading back to Texas.... I wish he lived closer or could stay for weeks at a time........
Then I needed to rest from my long weekend........

Feb. 17 Emily, me, and Katie and Dan Perez all went to the Jason Mraz show in Dekalb. It was a great time. I always have fun with those three...... They are a hoot and I am sure they would say the same about me...........

My diet went a bit down hill last week, i ate out 5 times and had went to the chocolate fest...... most was some great Mexican food, but it was not low in calories...............

Last weekend I went to dinner with my mom, dad, jake and emily.... then emily, jake and I went to bowl a few games.... Emily and I should be on a league.... 150 games... I bowled a 159 with three strikes in a row. I must of got that from my dad. We had a lucky charm with us. Alison and Grae came to see us bowl, it was Grae's one month birthday and emily and i passed her back and forth between frames. She loved it I am sure..........

Then sat. Emily and jake and i went to the Reid's to hang out and play Rock Band. Of course i was a singing queen!!!!! Emily on the drums and Bryce on the guitar. It was awesome..... Then we were done and Jason needed his time to practice all by himself.... so cute! Danielle and Michelle and I went to see He's just not that into you.......Story of my life! Or as bryce said later, I am not into them. Thanks Bryce!

We also welcomed Ryan Leo Danielson to the bunch this month. He is a bundle of joy. Jake and i went to visit at the hospital and everyone looked great. Amy looked great after just having a baby. I am sure I did not look like that.

Jakes School auction was last night and I always have a good time trying to win things........ This time I was showing Emily and Megan how to be a bit more aggressive in the silent auction world! I love those things and then the joy of winning is even better. Jake wanted way to much, but settled for no homework pass. I of course wanted my homeroom basket I helped put together, with the class donations, Katie's Cooks and Company's donations, my mom and Peggy's Donation, Megan's craft donation to put it all together and then Danielle helping me craft it all up to make it pretty. I wanted it all back, so i bid and won at the last second. YAY!

This week Carol and Emerson and Ella are home!!!! YAY, i can't wait to see them and hold Ella. I am sure that will consume my whole week. Well, beside coloring my grey's (SHHHH) and playing my normal Wed. night tennis and making Jake do his homework and feeding Jake and Jake's guitar and performing arts and his bowling....... wow, jake is busy then me sometimes!

I hope all is well with everyone else..... March seems pretty exciting too, Jake TURNS 10!!! St. Patty's day, comedy in Galesburg, Jake sings at a hockey game with his school choir, Bunco...... I am sure I will come up with something else too.

JAN. 2009

Thank goodness it is almost over..... It has been COLD, more like artic! I have been turning white from being soooooo cold!!!!!!

Ok, my dad turned the big 56 this week and we celebrated by me eating tons at club 41. We are heading to a casino on sat. to celebrate a bit more.

So besides the cold weather and me not feeling like doing much Jan. was a start of my diet. I am in a challange with a few friends and it has been rough!!! i cut out reg. fountain pop! i have not had but one sip from jake and it is hard hard hard!!! I have tried to cut out alcohol. so my life has been boring! i have had 2 beers all month! no LIE! I have been excercising and journaling my calories that i intake and work off my body!!!! it is tough. I am doing a bit of Wii Fit at Emily's and beating her bad!! ok, not at all!
I am working hard on winning this competition. i can say that since it is for money I will try to win and will try to forget how hard it is to diet. I feel for Oprah!

So that is all for this Month! i can only hope next month will be more exciting.

Ok, I realize my last post was almost two months ago so i will try to sum this up as best as I can. No pictures today folks...........as well as no feeding the wild animals..... and yes i am on a diet for 2009 so i am now a wild animal..........

So Nov. 13 was the last post. Since then lets see: went to a comedian on the 15th of Nov. Love to laugh... good times had by all........
The weekend of the 21st. (still in November people)... I went to Oklahoma to meet Ella Grace Krisher. My mom, Jake and I drove (long trip, especially since I was trying to make short cuts and it happened to make it longer.....) to visit for a long weekend. We had a blast meeting Ella, have pedicures/manicures, shopping, eating (how i miss food), holding Ella (spoiled her a bit) and playing of course with Emerson (I like to Move it move it). Of Course we loved seeing carol and Shawn and their new home. Lets just say we cried when we left. I am crying a little now just writing about it......... miss them! Emerson turns 3 on the 8th of Jan. YAY!

Then of course we had Thanksgiving. My brother made it home so that is always a nice event. we had our usual outings and fun times had by all!!!! spent time with the family on thanksgiving. That is pleasant as well. I love my job when I can have the days off and see family and relax!

In between these weeks I of course started my new career as VP of Emily Grace Jewelry (VP of something. I am under the CEO (Emily) and President (Megan). I think by next year I may work hard enough and become the President!!! watch out Megan...... I was a beading maniac!!!! i even took them home and invented my own designs. I love it. Then I worked the show on Dec. 4-6th. I want a cash register......... I earn free jewels. nothing is better then that!

I then went to my other dear friends April's pottery party that weekend. I love her stuff. Not sure if she will let me design for her, that maybe my next mission.

My birthday was Dec. 13th (not to late to send gifts). I went to fun city with my parents and Jake on the 12th and met Michelle, Bobbi and aunt Darlene for dinner and had a blast! I went to dinner with friends and Jake and my mom, then bowling with Alison, Halle, Danielle, Seth, Bryce, Emily, Jake, and me..... we had a good time. Then went out for a bit with Emily, Katie, Dan, Jaci, Keisa, and Kim. Had a great time. Thanks guys for making my 27th birthday extra special.........

I was very busy in December with getting Christmas ready for 92 kids in need. I love doing this every year! its a lot of work, but well worth it to see a child have a special Christmas. I had lots of help from friends, family, co-workers, businesses to provide clothes, toys and other necessities that we take for granted that we have and can easily get. I feel wonderful when it is all over with. I am so thankful for the help i receive and the gifts and money donated! I am also thankful that the school allows me to run this program!

Of course we had Christmas and the 3rd annual HO HO HO party. I had a great Christmas and Santa brought Jake and all exactly what we wanted. We are very lucky! I had two weeks off and that was a relief! i have went through and cleaned out rooms (the toy room was a MESS!!!). Jake and i got new closets, thanks to Dan's renovations!!! we have lots of new things and we love all of them.

Ho HO HO was another class reunion success. I love seeing all my friends from high school and beyond! I sang a few songs.... then on course that emptied out the party...... It was a great time and look forward to Ho HO HO 4th annual. Dance floor is in the kitchen........

New Years was a fun event with kids and great friends. thanks to Danielle's mom and Lamont for letting us hang out. we had a blast. D is not for DUD anymore........

We have had lots happen in the last two months, Birthdays, anniversaries (mom and dad 36 years), holidays, baby showers, babies (at work I have had 4 co-workers have babies in the last two weeks), BUNCO and lots more I am sure. I look forward to 2009 and what it has to offer. I love all my family and friends and all that they provide in my life! I look forward to many more years of a fun filled, action packed, watching Jake grow, boyfriends and maybe a husband one day........... lets not get carried away ALYSSA! We will see for 2009 i wish everyone a great year and i hope all your resolutions come true!

My resolutions are:
1. be a awesome mom, PATIENCE is key!
2. Be a better daughter, mom i won't be mean anymore........
3. be to work on time and work REALLY hard at everything I do!
4. Travel with my brother every other weekend..... ok, that is stretching it.....
5. lose 35 lbs!!!!! ok, maybe 5 and i will be happy!
6. Be a awesome friend........Hey there is a magazine that says research shows if you gossip with your friends you have a healthy life. So i vow to have healthy gossip time with my friends. That is I will not talk behind peoples back, i will always make sure to say it to their face (which I have been known to be good at)
7. Say I am sorry if I fail at #6
8. say "I deserve to be loved and I deserve to Love" at least once a day!!!!!!

Ok, if i get this accomplished on in 2009 my life will be a breeze!!!
